We've created a size guide for you. Please visit our size guide to find the perfect with you.
For our silver pieces, we use sterling silver. Sterling silver is also called 925 silver, which is why you would see 925 engraving. Please see more on our materials and sourcing here.
For our gold pieces, we use 18 karat gold plating on sterling silver on most of your products. For larger pieces, we sometimes use gold plating on brass to make the pieces weigh less as brass weighs less than sterling silver.
You can find information about a specific product in the ‘details’ section of each product page.
We use 18 karat gold plating or silver for the metal colour of our jewellery. We handpick our gemstones carefully to reflect the story of each piece. As a result, the gemstone colours are very diverse depending on the type and style of the stones. We give a detailed explanation on the gemstones each time on the product page. Please note that due to the natural formation of the gemstones, the colour might have small variations. This imperfection is perfectly natural.
We don’t have a physical store, however, we work with some department stores.

Shipping
We offer Standard, Express and Next weekday delivery in the UK.
Please see the Shipping and Return page.
We ship our products from the UK so all UK orders are exempt from custom duties.
For US, EU, and the rest of the world orders, customers are responsible for covering all import taxes and duties. The courier will contact you directly upon arrival in the destination country to assist with any necessary payments.
We do same day shipping, please see the shipping costs for the rates.
We ship all ASSUWA heirlooms with a tracking number, which you will receive once we dispatch your order.
Once an order is dispatched we cannot amend or change it. If an order is yet to be dispatched, we may be able to amend or cancel. Please contact us on info@assuwa.co.uk.
You do not need to sign for the parcel.
Every piece is handmade, and we only work in small batches on a rotation schedule. Hence sometimes some pieces might be out of stock. When we accept pre-orders for an heirloom, it means that we are in the process of producing it. We accept your payment on that day and then ship it at a future estimated time, which is shown in the product description in bold italics.
Returns
In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with your product, you can return your jewellery to us. Please see our Returns page here to start your return process.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, with tags, and in its original packaging.
For hygiene reasons we are not able to accept earrings that are tried on.
Personalised items are crafted uniquely for you, making them truly one-of-a-kind. Because of this, items with custom gemstones, bespoke sizing, or engraving are non-returnable. However, personalised designs without custom gemstones or engraving can be returned under our standard return policy.
If your return is accepted, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that we do not cover the return shipping.
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return to let you know whether the refund was approved. You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days if approved. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
Personalised Jewellery
Our Personalisation Service allows you to tailor existing designs with custom gemstone choices, bespoke sizes, and add an engraving. We’ll guide you through each stage of the process to help you create a talisman that’s uniquely yours. Please find out more about personalising your jewellery.
We offer a range of personalisation options to make your piece uniquely yours:
- Bespoke Size: £10
- Custom Gemstone: Pricing varies based on your chosen gemstone.
- Engraving Service: Free of charge
The time required depends on the complexity of the customisation. Personalised items generally take 3-4 weeks, while bespoke designs might take longer, typically 4-6 weeks. We will provide you with an estimated timeline when you place your order.
We offer a wide range of gemstones, each with its own unique symbolism, meaning, and colour. Our experts will guide you through the selection process, helping you find the perfect gemstone that resonates with your story and personal style. The availability and price depend on the specific gemstone you select.
For personalised or bespoke orders, changes can only be made within 24 hours of placing the order. After this period, production begins, and we may not be able to accommodate changes.
Unfortunately, personalised items cannot be returned. This includes pieces with custom gemstones, bespoke sizing, or engraving. However, bespoke designs that do not include a custom gemstone or engraving can be returned under our standard return policy.
